Born in Everett, Massachusetts and a graduate of Bowdoin College, Attorney Flynn received his law degree from New England School of Law and was admitted to the Massachusetts Bar in 1978. He served as Assistant Attorney General for 5 years prior to founding the Law Offices of Peter E. Flynn, P.C.
While serving as Special Assistant Attorney General, he represented and defended various state agents in significant eminent domain cases, including the Massachusetts Highway Department. He obtained the 4th largest jury verdict in the state in 2000.
His practice currently provides legal representation to private landowners and state agents in eminent domain matters. Mr. Flynn handles insurance defense litigation, as well as G.L. c. 40B comprehensive development issues, environmental law, and governmental relations. February 14, 2000, Mr. Flynn obtained the largest reported jury verdict in an Eminent Domain case in the history of Plymouth County. In that case, a plaintiff landowner was awarded $5,175,000 for the taking of a 33.56-acre parcel of land in the town of Kingston.
